太阳 The Sun

Soft pastel on paper

I have never been to such a place in nature before. If I were in this picture, I would feel good.

Ah Lim

2019

Paper, paint and air-dry clay

This artwork was created in memoriam of Ah Lim, a close friend of mine from my household who had passed away late 2019. Ah Lim enjoyed eating durians.

Fish

2019

Soft pastel on paper

I enjoy eating steamed fish these days. The late Mr Kwek who used to live in my household used to cook fish for us but no longer...

"I like everything about the Open Studio and being together with friends."

Mixed media on paper plate

The hearts added to my mask represent my caring and helpful nature. Peter shared on my behalf that even though it hurt my hands, I would insist on washing dishes in the household.

Pompoms, foam stickers, paint on paper plate

My superpower is to help others (帮助人家), and singing (唱歌). I help out with household chores such as washing the dishes and folding the clothes. Blue reminds me of the song 月亮我的心 and made me sing. I enjoy the songs by Teresa Teng very much and know many of them. I play the ukulele while my younger brother plays the guitar.

I explored the creation of patterns using shapes, lines and dots.
